I created this site to document my journey through political resistance of the Trump administration during the course of the 4 years of his term.
1,460 is the total number of days that Donald Trump will be in office for his first term as President of the United States. I am technically starting at the day of the election and going from there on topics that come up in my life and in the news because despite the fact that Donald Trump did not take office until January 20th, 2017, so many negative and appalling things happened until his watch well before then. I will be working actively in various capacities to resists the policies and initiatives that he instates which subvert human rights and I want to showcase that here.
Some of this work is very small and personal, and some is much larger and more public. But, my hope is that my conscious effort to resist on a daily basis will inspire others to see that they too have the power to resist and create changes that are lasting and impactful in their own lives and the lives of others.
I am a 34 year old, white, liberally-minded woman who lives in Brooklyn, New York. The views expressed here are solely my own and are for the purpose of personal protest, community activism, and self-exploration. I fully acknowledge my privilege and my biases. I want to learn how to be the best person I can and hope to learn as much as possible from this experience. I believe people are inherently good and want to do the “right” thing.
That being said, I am not here to assuage man-splainers, bigots, hate-speakers, fear-mongers, racists, 1% elitists, or anyone who does not believe in a greater good of humanity. All people deserve to live happy, healthy, loving lives with their needs met. Period. And that’s what I am going to continue fighting for in the next 1460 days and beyond.
